Celebrating architect Renzo Piano’s achievement and successfully marketing a prime commercial property in Times Square
When the New York Times Company and Forest City Ratner Companies partnered on the development of the Times’ new headquarters, Geto & de Milly was engaged to spearhead a multifaceted public relations campaign aimed at sparking positive media attention and marketing the building to high-end commercial tenants.
Our international media relations effort highlighted architect Renzo Piano’s distinctive skyscraper. Among other tactics, Geto & de Milly commissioned famed photographer Annie Leibovitz to document the tower’s construction in two-story photographs that were hung from the building’s scaffolding, generating great public and media interest including a spread in Vanity Fair. Our firm produced events marking the project’s major milestones from the architectural unveiling to the grand opening celebration.
With great success, Geto & de Milly worked with Forest City to market this magnificent space to high-end commercial and retail tenants.
