Rallying community support for a world-class residential development

Geto & de Milly was retained by Zeckendorf Development to shepherd a new luxury housing development on the Upper West Side through the city’s
Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP). Designed by Robert A.M. Stern, the project required a Special Permit for a parking garage.

Our firm created and implemented a community outreach program and media relations campaign to demonstrate that Zeckendorf Development would be a good neighbor to residents of the surrounding community, the local Community Board, civic leaders and elected officials. We initiated a series of public service ads in local newspapers highlighting the work of neighborhood non-profits and cultural groups that proved to be extraordinarily effective at generating good will.

Through our strong network of relationships we presented the project to community leaders and government officials, winning widespread support for the development and securing the necessary approvals through ULURP.

Today, 15 Central Park West is one of the most successful and architecturally acclaimed residential projects in the city’s history.
