An accomplished government relations and media strategist, Maya Kremen came to Geto & de Milly with more than fifteen years of experience in the worlds of labor, politics and journalism. Before coming to the firm, Maya served as Political and Communications Director of the Associated Musicians of Greater New York, Local 802 American Federation of Musicians, which includes musicians on Broadway, at the Met Opera and Lincoln Center. At the largest local professional musicians’ union in the world, Maya worked to advance the union’s major legislative campaigns and build relationships within the entertainment / labor community. Previously, Maya was Senior Advisor to Congressman Jerrold Nadler and Director of his Brooklyn office, working with city, state and federal officials and community stakeholders on a wide portfolio of issues. Maya has a background as an award-winning journalist, writing about politics, education and religion. She worked on investigations and reported about local politics for New Jersey’s Bergen Record, and wrote articles for publications including the New York Times, the Village Voice,Entertainment Weekly and Crain’s New York Business. A New York City native, Maya received her B.A. in American Studies and English from Wesleyan University in Connecticut.
