
Christopher brings more than three decades of experience in government, politics, and public relations. His work spans campaigns and initiatives for Fortune 500 companies such as The Home Depot and Walmart, as well as major media organizations including Crain’s New York Business.
Prior to joining Geto & de Milly, Christopher served as a communications strategist for multiple Long Island municipalities, including the Village of Hempstead, where he advised James Garner, the first Black mayor elected on Long Island, and the Town of North Hempstead, where he advised May Newburger, the first woman elected Supervisor. He also led community-relations outreach for high-profile New York City real estate development projects, including The Shops at Columbus Circle for Related Companies.
Since joining Geto & de Milly in 2006, Christopher has been a vital member of the firm’s team, supporting landmark civic and cultural milestones such as the groundbreaking and grand opening celebrations for Barclays Center and 8 Spruce Street (formerly New York by Gehry), as well as the topping-out and opening ceremonies for the New York Times Headquarters in Times Square. He played a key role in developing the firm’s digital and social media division, oversees government-relations compliance, and has been instrumental in securing government funding and private grants critical to the sustainability of many of New York City’s most respected and essential nonprofit organizations.
A former New York State Democratic Committeeman from Long Island, Christopher began his career working for Assemblyman — now New York State Comptroller — Thomas P. DiNapoli.
