James Darley is a strong asset to the Geto & de Milly team, with political and policy acumen gained in prior roles in government and private sector consultancy. He assists our corporate, nonprofit and institutional clients with strategic advice and guidance on a broad range of issues.
Prior to joining the firm, James served as Chief of Staff to Policy Chair and Deputy Speaker Gary Schaer of the New Jersey General Assembly, where he built productive relationships with community stakeholders, labor unions, and advocacy groups throughout the state and the NYC metro area, advancing key legislation and achieving important budgetary goals. James and his team were proud to shepherd the successful passage of New Jersey’s first comprehensive statewide emergency medical services reform in many decades, and to secure millions for construction of critical infrastructure.
Other work experience includes positions with the Bergen County Democratic Committee and Board of County Commissioners as well as in the political consulting field. He received his B.A. in History and Political Science from the College of Mount Saint Vincent and an M.A. in American History from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
